Get free samples by mail – 5 legit sources for makeup and beauty samples, including an Alexa skill, PINCHme, and the Pink Panel, no credit card.
Beauty products can cost so much money…which is why I’d rather try free samples of them before committing to a whole $35 bottle (or, just stack as many free samples as I can and use them as needed!).

That’s why I’m sharing today where exactly you can get free makeup and beauty samples by mail (no credit card required).
Now that’s what I call Happy Mail.
Best Free Makeup Samples By Mail
So, where can you get free makeup and beauty samples? Here are my favorites.
Hint: Another way I like to use free samples? Is to offer them in a small basket in our guest bathroom. That way, when guests spend the night, they can peruse and use if they’d like. Feels more like a fun Airbnb experience rather than staying at your sister’s.
1. Use the Alexa Send Me a Sample Skill
I just opened up my Alexa app, installed the “Send Me a Sample” Skill, and asked what free samples are available.
Now? A French Kiss-flavored Maison Perrier is headed to my front door (for free) in 28 days.

Wow.
Granted, this is not a makeup or beauty free sample.
However, you can find those this way, too!
Here’s how to get free samples by mail, no survey required:
- Go into your Alexa app (you can download it for iOS and for Android)
- Go to More > Skills & Games, and search for “Send Me a Sample”.
- You’ll need to create a new account or log into your account, and link it
- Then, go back to Alexa home, and ask it to “Open Send Me a Sample Skill”. Ask what samples are available, and order the ones you want! It already has your address and will confirm before sending.
This works with Alexa only (not Google Assistant), in the US, UK, Canada, Italy and Germany, and you can get one of each product per address.
Hint: Want to receive more free samples? Check “yes” for the option “Send me other samples I might like to try other than those I’ve asked for” found under “Your Account”.
2. TryProducts
Who’s ready for some free beauty samples?
Here’s how this one works:
- Free Sign Up: For US residents 18+, they’ll need your name, email, and mailing address. No credit cards, and no fees.
- Confirm your email: After you confirm your email, you’ll answer a short interest questionnaire so that they can match you.
- Apply for Product Samples: New opportunities for free samples are posted daily, and you apply to the ones you want. Hint: they post free samples on their Facebook page as well, so be sure to follow them and comment over there for a better chance at receiving products.
- Give Feedback: If you’re selected, you’ll receive the product (free shipping), and then you’ll need to leave feedback on their website.
Some of the beauty samples that have recently gone out include Rejuva Minerals organic lip gloss, Rustic MAKA charcoal and clay bar soap, and Eco-Dent oral care.
3. The Pink Panel™
Looking for free full-sized beauty samples by mail?
This might be your opportunity.
You’re signing up as a research subject with The Benchmarking Company, a beauty market research firm whose client roster includes Estée Lauder, Fenty, Shiseido, Unilever, NARS, Drunk Elephant, Paula’s Choice, bareMinerals, Murad, Madison Reed, Josie Maran, GlamGlow, and Target – over 100 brands in all.
They keep a database of 275,000+ beauty and personal care buyers, and each study pulls a panel of anywhere from 35 to 2,500 people.
You know those lines on beauty advertisements that say something like “80% of people felt their skin had improved in just 14 days”? Well, that comes from things like their In-Home Use Tests (IHUTs) – real people using the product on a set schedule and filling out claims surveys afterward. (that could be you!).
Products are all full-sized, FYI.
How it works:
- You Join for Free: For women 18+, who are US residents (hint: the men’s side is Guys that Groom).
- You apply Per Study. Invitations come by email, and you opt into the ones you qualify for.
- You Keep the Product
- You Earn an Incentive: Product tests typically pay $25 to $100+ in gift cards or beauty products, and focus groups run about $100 (paid in cash via PayPal or bank transfer). Plain surveys usually just enter you in sweepstakes.
4. Daily Goodie Box
These guys have been around for a while (they were the first box I tried!), and they’ve created a new way to reward you even if you don’t qualify for the free sample box: a daily streak that leads to a free sample box.
SO, if you just check in and see if you qualify for 30 days in a row (without missing a day – it will reset), then you WILL get a bonus free sample goodie box at the end of those 30 days.
That’s helpful!
Meanwhile, here’s how they work:
- U.S. Residents Join free
- Wait to be selected: You don’t apply per product – instead, boxes go out based on availability. Shipping is always free, and no credit card is required. These are typically boxes filled with 5 or more items, both samples and full-sized, from over 500 partners they work with.
- You Log a Review of Each Item: Back on their site (a few quick questions plus a short review per product).
Pro Tip: Following them on social media can be helpful in getting a box, as they post opportunities on sites like Facebook and select commenters to receive the boxes.
5. PINCHme
While they do ask you if you’ll unbox on social media, you do NOT have to. After you sign up and fill in your profile, you apply for products to “fill” a box.

See those pending and accepted applications on my righthand sidebar? That’s what you’ll see as you apply to products.

Once you have a box filled, they’ll ship it to you for free.
You’ll just need to provide feedback and possibly a review on their website (not on social media).
They’ll let the brands know your feedback.
FYI: Box sizes vary between 4 and 8 products.
For example, in my first box (several years ago), I received:
- 1 Bausch + Lomb Lumify sample
- 2 Compeed Advanced Blister Care Samples
- 1 Coconut & Vanilla Native Deodorant sample
- 4 Cookie Squares baked in France (these were DA BOMB)
- 1 Ghirardelli chocolate square
- 1 Ester-C Effervescent packet
- 1 Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense sunscreen sample
- 1 Aquaphor Ointment Body Spray sample
Have you ever purchased or used [Brand] products in the past 12 months?
If you are chosen to receive this product, do you agree to provide feedback and/or post a review on PINCHme or another retailer’s website if requested?
If you are chosen to receive this product, are you willing to create an unboxing post/video on social media and mention/tag the brand and @pinchme? Please note that members who follow PINCHme on Instagram and TikTok may also receive priority access to product allocations.
If you’re selected to try this product and end up loving it, would you consider purchasing it afterward?
FYI: Following PINCHme on Instagram and TikTok may get you priority access.
Free beauty samples and makeup samples are so much fun – as adults, we just don’t get a lot of Happy Mail, and these certainly fit that bill. Just remember to follow these brands on their social media and check in, and hopefully you’ll be surprised with your own free beauty samples at your front door in the coming weeks.
