Quick and easy Dollar Tree meals for a week that will feed 3 people. Just $38.75, and you can make them in less than 20 minutes!

What if someone dropped you in the middle of a Dollar Tree grocery aisle section with $40 and tasked you with meal planning a week's worth of dinners…would you be able to do it?

No need to worry. I’ve got you covered – here are 7 Dollar Tree dinner recipes you can make this week (most for less than $5 each).

Note on pricing: I’ve included the total cost for each recipe below the actual recipe. However, remember that you can use the many of the ingredients again if you're making more than just one. That's why the total cost for the week is $38.75. For example, you only need to buy the sauce ingredients once and you can use them in multiple recipes, bringing down the overall price.

Dollar Tree Dinner Recipes

Should you eat Dollar Tree meals all the time? Nah.

I’m not a nutritionist or anything, but I certainly would like to see more fresh veggies and fruits than what you'll find below.

Still, if you find yourself in a money pinch and need mega-cheap meals for awhile, OR, you just want to cut down on the amount you’re spending on groceries by substituting a few meals a week with a Dollar Tree meal, then definitely use these recipes below.

1. Sausage Hashbrowns with Garlic Veggies and a Biscuit

This was one of my husband’s favorite dishes of the bunch. We also added garlic powder to the hashbrowns. YUMMY.

Simple, hearty, and fast to prepare.

Ingredients:

  • 6-9 Sausage Links
  • 1 package of Hungry Jack Hashbrown Potatoes
  • 1 package of Frozen Stir Fry Vegetables
  • 1 package of Pillsbury Cheddar Biscuits
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1/2 tbsp. Garlic Powder (optional)

Instructions:

  • Make hashbrowns according to directions.
  • Prepare and bake biscuits according to directions.
  • Cook the Jimmy Dean Sausage links.
  • Cook the stir-fried vegetables on the stovetop. Drain, then add in garlic powder (I also added butter…if you have some on hand).
  • Assemble the dish: sausage links on top of the hashbrowns, and both a biscuit and veggies on the side.

Serves: 3

Total Cost: $7.50

2. Salmon Bowl with Sweet Chili Aioli

two white bowls filled with broccoli and cauliflower, crispy onions, brown rice, mandarin oranges, etc.

I love a salmon poke bowl.

And while I knew I wouldn’t be able to recreate that from the Dollar Tree…I thought I might be able to get something similar.

That’s what this is!

Ingredients:

  • 2 Wild Caught Salmon Pouches (Chicken of the Sea)
  • Brown Rice (1/2 cup per person)
  • Canned/Cupped Fruit (mandarin oranges or pineapples taste really good in these bowls)
  • Veggies (steamed frozen broccoli)
  • Toppings (Crispy Onions, Sunflower Kernels, whatever else you’d like)
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
  • Teriyaki marinade

Instructions:

  • Cook the brown rice according to instructions (1 cup for 2-3 people).
  • Make the aioli sauce: mix ½ cup mayonnaise or with ¼ cup Sweet Chili sauce. Set aside (you can spoon it into a squeeze bottle for easier use).
  • Cook the frozen veggies according to directions. Drain (if needed). I chopped up the broccoli and cauliflower and used that (saving the rest of the veggies for another dish this week).
  • Put a serving of brown rice into each bowl. Add ½ of the salmon from the salmon pouch. Add the fruit. Add the veggies. Add the toppings (Crispy Onions and Sunflower Kernels). Then drizzle teriyaki sauce, and then drizzle Sweet Chili Sauce Aioli (as much as you’d like).

Serves: 3

Total Cost: $11.25

3. Broccoli Cheddar Garlic Pizzas

We needed dinner on the table quickly on Monday night, and so I decided to put together these pizzas.

They took about 15 minutes!

These garlic bread loaves at Dollar Tree are fantastic (if you can only find the Texas toast-type garlic bread, they’re super tasty, too!).

Ingredients:

  • 1 Garlic bread loaf
  • 1 bottle of Pizza sauce (or 1 can of Italian pasta sauce)
  • 1 bag of Broccoli and Cauliflower frozen veggies
  • 2 blocks of Cheese (I used half a cheddar block and half a jalapeno)

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to what it says on the back of the garlic bread package.
  • Cook the veggies according to directions.
  • Shred the cheese.
  • Layer pizza sauce, drained veggies, and then shredded cheese onto each garlic bread serving.

Totally delicious, and husband-approved.

Serves: 3

Total Cost: $6.25

4. Carne Taco Bowl

pile of ingredients on kitchen counter from Dollar Tree
two bowls filled with corn, lime and cilantro rice, chili con carne, and colorful tortilla strips

Can I just say this was one of my most favorite dishes out of this whole bunch? I really didn’t think it would be anything special, and I was totally wrong.

The rice really has a lovely, fresh taste to it. And you can add some cheese to your bowl if you’d like, too!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cilantro & Lime Rice pouch
  • Sweet Corn
  • Tortilla Strips
  • 1 Chili Con Carne Pouch

Instructions:

  • Fill each of three bowls with 1/3 of the Cilantro & Lime rice.
  • Fill each of the three bowls with 1/3 of the Chili con carne pouch.
  • Fill each of the three bowls with 1/3 of the corn (and black beans, if you’re adding them in).
  • Top with cheese (optional).
  • Microwave until it’s cooked, melted, and yummy.

Serves: 3

Total Cost: $5.00

5. Teriyaki Peanut Veggie Bowl

Here’s a simple peanut-teriyaki Asian sauce that goes well with rice and stir-fry veggies.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsps. Teriyaki Marinade
  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
  • 2 tbsps. Mandarin Orange Cup juice
  • 3 tbsps. water
  • 1 package Frozen Stir Fry Vegetables
  • Brown Rice (1/2 cup per person)
  • 1 can of chicken

Instructions:

  • Make the sauce by mixing ½ cup peanut butter, 2 tbsps. teriyaki, 2 tbsps. pear juice from the Mandarin orange cup (to taste – if you like it sweeter, add more juice), and 3 tbsps. water.
  • Cook the veggies according to directions.
  • Add to each bowl: rice, a bunch of veggies, ½  – 1 can of chicken (depends on how much protein you want), and desired Teriyaki sauce amount.

Serves: 3

Total Cost: $7.50

Ever since going to Mexico and trying fish tacos for the first time? Well, I’m hooked.

Obviously, I won’t get that same crispy, yummy goodness as I did down there…but that won’t stop me from doing the best I can with what I have!

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of Gorton’s Fish Sticks
  • Tortilla Strips
  • 1 package Frozen veggie mixture
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce

  • Cook the frozen veggies according to directions. Drain (if needed). I chopped up the broccoli and cauliflower and used those.

Serves: 3-4

Total Cost: $8.75

7. Spring Roll Fried Rice

Have you ever tried these Jennifer’s Spring Rolls from the Dollar Tree’s freezer section? They’re very yummy – and the star of this dish.

  • Brown Rice (1/2 cup per person eating)
  • 1 package of Frozen Spring Rolls (2-3/person)

  • Get a pan, add a little oil and some Teriyaki marinade (to taste – be careful, as it can be salty) and stir fry all of these ingredients together (except the Spring Rolls).

Serves: 3-4

Total Cost: $6.25
