Donate to Japan: Even you can afford to help in the aftermath of Japan’s Tsunami and Earthquake because you can do it for free.

My longtime readers know that Japan holds a special place in my heart: my husband and I met there 8 years ago. Paul was a cryptologist in the Navy working on the Yokosuka naval base, and I was a student studying abroad at Meiji Gakuin Daigaku (University). Watching the earthquake, tsunami, and then nuclear meltdown unfold (and continue to unfold) has felt like a punch to my stomach.

We’re right in the middle of the Save Beyond Your Means Series, and I realize that many of you probably do not have very much extra money to donate to Japan. Well, you are in luck! We can all donate to Japan by spending ten minutes here or there visiting some of the sites below, commenting, “liking” on Facebook, giving our rewards points, etc. All efforts are sincerely appreciated. Also, check out some of the article links at the end to find out how to donate money.
