Hello Frugal Confessions Readers!
Here is my confession of the week:
While in debt-payoff mode Paul and I cut off spending on lots of normal spending categories. One of these was on clothes. I have been slowly replenishing my own closet when I find great deals here or there, but Paul has not purchased clothes in a long, long time. Needless to say, his closet is looking a little slim.
So, we decided to go shopping! We scored big time at JCPenney’s. We purchased two $40.00 polo shirts for $3.63 each…and I paired this with a $10 off a $10 purchase coupon I received in the mail to bring our total to $1.01 (we had to add in a card to bring the total to $10.00). This was a savings of $79.32, or a 99% discount!
Then we went to Old Navy where I had a $10 off $50 purchase. We were able to purchase new briefs, a polo shirt, a graphic tee-shirt, and a nice button up shirt for $40.00. Not bad!
What is your confession of the week? I’d love to hear it!
