Brentwood Home Coupon for Everyone + A Giveaway

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Brentwood Home. All opinions are my own and were not influenced by any parties.

I'm not a pillow gal.

Well, that's not entirely true. I wasn't a pillow gal…until I got pregnant.

All of the sudden one or two pillows no longer cut it. With each trimester, I added a new pillow into the mix. One was for my head, one for my upper arm (I'm a side sleeper), then eventually another for in between my knees. Finally, in the last month, I stumbled upon the intense comfort of a pillow right behind my back to support me just a little bit more.

Good times.

The Worth of a Good Pillow

Since I know the worth of good pillows (measured in units of minutes of sleep), when Brentwood approached me to test out their sleep wellness bundle of pillows + host a giveaway for them, I was all ears!

(And neck, and shoulders, and hip).

Over the last week I've been very much enjoying both the Helena latex filled pillows and the Carmel latex pillows. Honestly, it's felt like I've been at a hotel instead of in my own bed.

These are by far the nicest pillows I've ever owned, and I only wish I had had them around my 7th month onwards!

So what's so great about them?

  • They've got much more support than my other ones
  • Even though they've got much more support, they're actually not stiff, which is a change for me
  • They've also been great for when I catch a few pages of a book in bed
  • They're all natural Kapok + Latex Blended Fill (Eco-Institut Certified), plus the covers are 100% organic cotton

Those pillows sound like a dream come true! Especially with crazy baby sleep interrupting my own ?. It’s so hard to pinpoint what I’d want to see more of. Hmmm… Some sort of miracle frugal hack that is magically more convenient than the more expensive route, giving me more time AND more money! ?. Otherwise I’d really like more frugal organization, meal, and everyday life tips. Thanks!

I hear ya on the pregnancy and pillows thing! Now I require at least two. As for more info here on the blog; help me out here. What is your advice for a young man in his 20s, unencumbered, no house yet, how much of his check should he be putting away and where?

I love articles about organizing. Especially if the organization includes DIY organization items (i.e. storage boxes, organizing systems, etc.) I hate spending money if I can make something myself out of items I might already have. Thanks

Also about pillows during pregnancy, my wife is loving her pregnancy pillow by Bluestone (bought at Target). It wraps around your whole body. It goes from around your feet, all the way up behind your head, then down to your feet on the other side. So one side can go between your knees and the other side supports your back.

I am still in the throes of organizing my life. I would love more examples of taking ordinary household items and turning those items into new ways of storing/organizing various items.

Awesome contest! I’d love to see articles about when things start slipping out of convenience when you have already set up good savings and systems to save etc, but as you have kids and you are in a time crunch way more often…making decisions about ways to make life easier and more comfortable (paying for convenience) but yet not derailing your frugal habits. That one would hit pretty close to home for us 😉
