It’s Frugal Confessions Friday!!

For those of you new to this series, check out my introduction here.
Here’s my confession:
Airline tickets are so expensive (perhaps not for what you get, but it’s still a large chunk of cash!), so I hate spending any kind of money in airports. In fact, not only do I not spend money at airports (ofcourse there is the occasional 12 hour delay where I have a meal and some snacks), but I also like to take advantage of their many amenities in order to recoup some of my costs! I charge up my cell phone, my laptop, and drink from their fountains. I know that is silly, because I am really not recouping more than a dollar or two, but it makes me feel like I am just slightly ahead of the game! Hahahaha.
What are your frugal confessions of the week? I’d love to hear them. Happy Friday!

We completely agree about airports. If we have to eat, we always split a McDonald’s or Burger King meal and save $5-$8 that way. We usually try to eat a decent meal before going to the airport simply because everything is so overpriced. If you get a rent car, fill it up as far away from the airport as you can (like near your hotel if you aren’t staying at the airport) since gas is more expensive the closer you get.
On a different note, I’m blocked from your Chronicle site from work since I can’t directly access Mom Houston…can you post your Chronicle URL? Maybe I’ll have better luck trying a direct route…thanks!

Not much this week, I saved $4 (44% off) on a pizza yesterday with my Kroger Plus card. I love the card I just wish they had a store with gas close to my house that wasn’t in the ‘hood so I could make use of all the points I accrue.
Have a great weekend! I looove this cool weather
