Frugal Confessions Fridays – Frugal Living

Hello Frugal Confessions Readers! First Friday of the New Year!

Here is my frugal confession of the week:

We ended up not traveling to PA this year for Christmas. In my family, we purchase something small for almost everyone for Christmas. Since I usually purchase all of our gifts throughout the year, this means that if we don’t travel to PA we have a lot of gifts to ship. Knowing that we might not make it up North for the holidays, Paul and I packed up many of the gifts in our luggage for our Thanksgiving trip to Michigan and gave them to my father to disburse (he and others of my family drove to Michigan; we flew Southwest so there was no baggage fee). It ended up saving us a lot on shipping! While we wish we could have seen everyone for the holidays, it was nice to spend time with Paul’s family and also to not have to be stuck in airport traffic each way.

What is your confession of the week? I’d love to hear it!

I like the way you point out how all the small things add up.
