Frugal Confessions Friday – Frugal Living

Hello Frugal Confessions Readers! I hope everyone is getting ready for some time off to spend with family and friends?

Here is my frugal confession of the week:

My mother started a neat tradition when each of her children was born. Each year she purchased the Hallmark Christmas ornament for us, and then stashed it in a box for when we moved out. Even though a few may have gotten lost over the years, we each have around 18 Christmas balls ranging from the 1980s to the early 2000s. This is lovely for sentimental reasons, and also has the added perk of saving us money as Paul and I have not had to purchase Christmas ornaments for our tree thus far. It turns out that Paul’s mother is also into Christmas tree ornaments and so in addition to my childhood ornaments our tree is decorated with ornaments Paul’s mother has given us from each of the last three Christmases that we have been married!

What is your confession of the week? I’d love to hear it!

My frugal confession for the week is that I have not spent any money on almost anything, even things I probably should have because I want to save up for when the baby comes (literally any day). I might have pushed off a few things that I should have done, but I didn’t want to pay for them.
