Frugal Confessions Friday – Frugal Living
Posted on | July 29, 2011 | 8 Comments
Hello Frugal Confessions Readers!
Here is my frugal confession of the week:
We’ve been renovating the two bathrooms on our first floor (our master bathroom and our guest bathroom). That’s not the frugal part (though we’ve done most of the work ourselves–definitely frugal!). My friend Helen sent us a lead on a 90-minute market research study for people who have recently renovated their bathrooms…and we qualified!
Last week three people came to our home and spoke with Paul about our bathroom renovations. He made $150–not bad for 90 minutes worth of time!
What is your confession of the week? I’d love to hear it!

I hate shopping (confession), but I bought some things online. Since I was willing to wait for the delivery, I saved $20. I bought a bicycle helmet, and some water bottle. Not bad for a few minutes work!

Good stuff! I’d love to renovate our bathrooms but we’re probably a few years out from being able to afford that!

That means you can hunt great deals in the next few years. Perhaps you can keep your eye out for light fixtures and other fixtures and purchase them along the way so that you spread the cost out (like toilet paper holders, towel holders, soap dishes, etc.).

Confession:
I got an email (on my phone) from Amazon that I would get $10 for filling out a 5 minute survey. The first 150 people would receive the money.
I dropped what I was doing, ran to my computer, and filled it out. Checks in the mail.
