Frugal Confessions Friday!!!

Hello Frugal Confessions Readers!
For those of you new to this series, check out the introduction here.
Here is my confession of the week:
To polish off our library, made up of furniture we have only gotten from Craigslist at severe discounts, we managed to snag 3 matching, sold wood bookcases for $175!!!! That means in total, for our rug, the two reading wingback chairs with matching slipcovers, three bookshelves, paint, and wall art, we have spent: $388. And our library could not be better-looking.
What is your frugal confession? I’d love to hear it!

I am too cheap to invest in a clothesline (and in my defense i don’t really like the look of them anyway) so when i ‘line-dry’ my clothes i hang everything on hangers and hang them from the trees in my backyard. (I’m pretty sure my neighbors think i am nuts)..well, they thought that anyway BEFORE i started this stunt.

finally getting to even: hello! Thank you for your frugal confessions–that is hilarious! I want a clothesline as well…but I, too have been holding off on actually purchasing one. Hehehehehe:)

My husband will need extensive dental work in 3 weeks that came to $3300. I asked about a few charges that looked incorrect (they had misinterpreted what the dentist had planned) and the bill fell to $2761. I then asked if there was any discount for paying in cash and they said 5%.
So by simply paying attention and thinking about alternative payment options, a $3300 bill turned into a $2623 bill in less than 10 minutes. Woot!
Now I’ll just cry about the $2623 if you don’t mind…
