Frugal Confessions’ Debut on Great Day Houston!

Hello Frugal Confessions Readers! If you are new, welcome!
This morning I was one of the segments on the Great Day Houston Show, Channel 11. How fun! We spoke about gift cards, frequent flyer miles, and touched a little on coupons.

Some other things I wish to add that we did not have time for is that out of all of the frequent flyer mile programs, it appears that Continental Airlines has the program that takes the most amount of miles in order to earn a free trip (35,000 miles, compared to the others with 25,000 mile thresholds). Also, US Airways charges the most fees; for your “free” reward travel, you have to pay a $30 fee on a domestic flight, or a $40 fee on an international flight just to use it! Don’t forget about the extra baggage fees. Southwest is currently the only airline that does not charge extra for your checked bags (though there is a limit on the number you can check).
Also, I want to thank my friend Helen who let me borrow the top you saw me wearing (ofcourse I did not spend a lot of money on a new outfit! Not my style:)). She sells Cabi clothes, and this was one of her pieces.
I am flying on Southwest in a few hours to head up to PA with my fiancee, and will hopefully be posting from there soon!
