Little Used Benefit of Being a Cardholder
Posted on | September 3, 2009 | 9 Comments
Hello Frugal Confessions Readers! I recently learned about price protection on my credit card, and decided to give it a try. I bought a pair of sneakers a month ago, and two weeks later, saw a sales flyer for $10 off (the same brand and everything!). I am now patiently waiting for my $10 refund from my credit card! How great is that? Check out my new eHow article about How to Use Price Protection. Enjoy!
P.S. I wonder if this works around the holidays…say I buy Christmas presents before Christmas, and then see sales for them after Christmas…this is definitely something I will have to try out.
P.P.S. There ofcourse are no financial benefits good enough on a credit card to justify paying finance charges. Hopefully you pay your card off each month!

Also don’t forget that most credit cards extend warranties on eligible items. AMEX extends the warranty for up to 1 year.

EZ–thanks for the heads up. Honestly, I didn’t even think to look into that benefit! I just know there is a LOT of small print on the CC pamphlets that come with the CC, but it turns out that there is a lot of good programs that come with this!
Have a great weekend.
